 | Coach Darnell CheverVarsity Assistant Coach | | Strict on discipline and fundamentals he believes that with a positive attitude anything is possible.Coach Chever began his football career at Menchville high school playing all 4 years before graduating in 2000. His college football career ended due to injuries however while at Norfolk State University Coach Chever received his bachelors degree in Political Science and Public Administration. While at college he led his intramural football team to two championship seasons and became a lifelong member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.After the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 Coach Chever enlisted in the United States Army special Operations Command. Awarded for his service of three years including multiple missions overseas as a Psychological Operations team leader he ended his military career.Currently Coach Chever is Radiation Engineer at Northrop Grumman Newport News. He enjoys spending time with his parents and three brothers and is a member of First Baptist Church of Denbigh. Coach Chever says one of his proudest memories was scoring his first touchdown as a Menchville Monarch. |
